7266 words to be exact, on this bedevilled research proposal, eight books of comic-books-aesthetics theory later. 28 pages. It's due on Wednesday. I really, really, really want it to be over.

They're giving out $150 for the best research proposal, and you know, I don't even care any more. Let me pass the class and get it over with.

(No, I'm okay, really! It's just the research proposal. Just the research proposal. And I still have to fill out the silly forms testifying that I don't intend to torture brain-damaged pregnant women...)

Still not sure if I want to spend the $15 it costs to change my username, but I got this LJ waaaay back in '00, and my Japanese ability has improved since then, and I've read the wrong kind of novels, and now the word 'takumashii' makes me snicker. So. If there are brilliant suggestions, I'm open.

(Though, considering, being a slightly dirty Japanese word is not all that inappropriate).

I didn't vote in the last couple elections. Bad me. I was in the middle of moving when the last one happened, and from living in the US I'm so used to hearing for the previous year and a half, THERE'S GONNA BE AN ELECTION, I kind of let it pass me by.

No confidence vote in parliament; elections in January.

Must go figure out absentee ballots and such. Oh...and figure out who I should vote for. (Basically, whether it's worth throwing my vote away at the NDP). Gotta take out my anger at the US government somehow.
