(no subject)

The thing I like about the new Doctor Who series is that it's so unabashedly political. It's easy for political SF to annoy me, so I'm not sure why this doesn't, except that they're my politics, and that involvement with anything political is a step up from the usual science fiction you see on TV.

Maybe it's just that I get a kick out of hearing the British criticize scathingly, and in a barely disguised way, the whole American military/industrial/mass media thing... it's nice to think that someone's on your side. More so if he has a cute accent.
