2/7/04 17:16It's been brought to my attention that I've been rather badly neglecting this journal. So. A general update on my life.
-I've found an apartment in western Carrboro, about a mile and a half from downtown and close to the farmer's market. Spacious enough, rent's not bad, and I love the location. Moving in activities will take place later this summer. Also looking into volunteer opportunities, employment, etc.
-Went to see Spiderman 2 on Wednesday night and found it just as good as I'd been hoping. And I am very glad I managed to keep myself completely unspoiled until I saw it, so I'll say nothing more. Saw Shrek 2 on Saturday night, and while I didn't adore it, it was some very cute fluff. I stand by my original thought--the first movie said everything it wanted to say, and they didn't need to make a sequel. Except for, well, the bit right at the end that I'm not going to spoil. That by itself was almost a good enough excuse for the whole movie.
-Spent the weekend at my boyfriend's place near Charlotte. The details would give you the kind of sugar shock you haven't seen since the episodes of Sailor Moon with the pegasus/unicorn, so suffice it to say that I had fun.
My life, otherwise, is going to be deathly boring with no transportation until I move out, so don't expect to hear too much from me...
