Werewolves of Brooklyn

Not often seen in New York City, even such suburbanish parts of NYC as I inhabit:

Walking home, I saw a shape dash across the road. Cat, I thought, but too big and slow for it, and then it scrambled up a nearby tree so that its face was nearly level with mine -- a raccoon!
