Cooking again

Tomato and eggplant gratin. Requires you to (a) peel, seed, and chop 2 pounds of tomatoes, (b) salt the eggplant, (c) cook the tomatoes down into sauce, (d) broil the eggplant -- on both sides --, and (e) layer the tomatoes and eggplant, and bake 35 minutes.

This is a lot of work for a not-very-substantial dish, and I didn't even bother with peeling/seeding the tomatoes.

I'd try this again with -- horrors! -- store-bought tomato sauce. With some spaghetti, maybe.

Wow.

Adding Japanese input on Ubuntu is as simple as going into 'languages,' and picking 'add language,' and picking 'Japanese.' And then you restart the computer and then it works. This is the operating system that I cuddle and squeeze.

...But not tightly enough to loosen the screws in that hinge.
