My haircut

I feel like I'm coming out of a haze of "Novel novel novel!" where I can actually think about things like groceries and haircuts and doctor's appointments instead of just... "Novel novel novel!"

And so I got my hair cut. It was long overdue, but as I told the hairdresser, I wait until it gets long enough to annoy me, and then wait some more. The good news is, I am super happy about my hair, which is why I am showing it to the internets.

I went to the Word bookstore in Brooklyn for a thing called "Just Working On My Novel," where published and unpublished writers read from their works, and I think I was hoping that the instant self-confidence boost of a good haircut would carry me through the night, and also that I could not possibly read in front of a big old hipster crowd without a good haircut. So, mission accomplished.

Very nice! It brings out the waviness.

Does your neck feel colder? Not sure how long yours had gotten, but mine always felt astonishingly colder going from neck-covering to not (& obviously to almost no hair at all means my head feels even colder).

Hey, look at you, there!

A belated congrats on finishing the novel novel novel, by the way. I'm really looking forward to it.
