SNOWMG.

Hello internets!

I had a very pleasant Christmas and then one of the sisters noticed, that night, that it was snowing.

By morning we had six inches. In Raleigh, North Carolina. We NEVER get six inches of snow.

Then the cable went out. And because the cable went out, so too did our internet and land-line phones. We began to look homicidally around the room at one another.

More than twenty-four hours later, the household electronics are back on, my flight and Meaghan's flight are canceled, and it looks like I will be road-tripping it up to NYC, weather permitting, with some other family members who had planned to drive up to New York and then fly to Montreal.

It has been rather more exciting than I had intended.

Happy snow, everyone!

Safe travels. Really.

Also: I'm still on the mary jane thing. How handy are you with a needle and thread? Because I had a crafty idea for myself the other day, and it may work out for you, too!

To this day, the biggest snowfall I've ever seen in the US was in North Carolina. (Two or three feet in one go!) But driving up to NYC and hoping to catch a plane, eh? Well...good luck!

(That "good luck" was sincere--I hope you make it!)
