Percocet is awesome! No, really: I don't feel high, though perhaps a little more cheerful than you'd expect, and not sleepy either. Generally I continue to feel a lot better than I expected. More annoyed by not having the use of my right hand than anything else. (And it is a full hand cast until next week; I might stay off work until then, as I type too slowly for reference and can't do a lot of programming, and -- high or not -- opiates and public sector jobs are not the greatest mix).
After all the stupidity I have been through, it's this easy? And I get to make it to Bluestockings and Books of Wonder as planned... I wish I had voice recognition on my computer though.

Been there, Done That
I had a patient break my hand last year and that percocet came in handy when my hand had to be operated on and a pin was inserted threw my pinky finger to put the bone back in place. To say the last I endured a great deal of pain,but the percocet was a great "perk" until it was time to get back to work...
