The hard part is --

Trying to say what you mean to say in a way that's sincere and yet doesn't spill all the way over into something that's mawkishly sentimental, or lit up in green neon announcing itself as a THEME. Those are the sentences that I end up spending twenty minutes obsessing over. How can the right words be so hard to find?

Well, but if I spend twenty minutes trying out possibilities and every one of those comes up "I CAN NOT PUT THAT INTO MY CHARACTER'S MOUTH, IT'S TOO DUMB" until finally there's one that doesn't, isn't it worth it?

I do have a second pair of eyes -- who is very good at what she does -- but I'm on my second and hopefully last round of big changes, so there's some pressure to get it right.

And I feel the hours flying on by at this point. I have a deadline for April 10th. ;)

*checks date* Huh, is it April already? Wow, you're not the only one feeling the hours fly. Ergh. Would sell a kidney for a good Timestop spell right about now. Insert generic cheesy encouragement lines here! :)
