I don't think most people make a full main course and veggie sides every day without thinking about it! Even when I was growing up with a stay-at-home mom, that would definitely not happen every day. Me, I can just manage cooking a couple times a week, and that's stir-fries or one-pot-stews where I don't have to worry about multiple courses.
Timers are fantastic, yeah. It's a lot easier when you know you only have to do a few minutes and then the bell rings and you're off the hook.
