"Meat" and potatoes
Based on a recipe from my Japanese vegan lunch book:
1/2 package of fake sirloin steak strips
2 red potatoes, cut into small chunks
A chunk of ginger, grated
Olive oil
Soy sauce
Balsamic vinegar
Saute the ginger a little bit in some oil. Add the potatoes, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. (I didn't so much as eyeball the measurements -- I just added a good glug of each.) Cook on medium, stirring occasionally, until everything is lovely and crusty and brown and the potatoes are cooked to your liking, or just under. Then add your fake meat and cook for a couple of minutes more.
YUM.
